Prof. (Dr.) Sujata Pandey is an accomplished academician, researcher, mentor, and innovation leader with extensive experience in Electronics, Engineering Education, Innovation, Product Development, and Entrepreneurship. She currently serves as the Director of the Amity Innovation & Design Centre (AIDC), Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida, where she leads multidisciplinary initiatives focused on innovation, design, prototyping, and technology development.
Dr. Pandey completed her B.Sc. in Electronics from D.N. College, Hisar in 1992, followed by an M.Sc. in Electronics from Kurukshetra University in 1994. She subsequently earned her Ph.D. in Electronics from the University of Delhi in 1999, establishing a strong academic and research foundation in electronics and communication technologies.
She joined the Amity School of Engineering, New Delhi, as an Assistant Professor in 2002. In March 2008, she took on the leadership of the Amity Innovation & Design Centre and has since played an important role in developing the Centre as a platform for student innovation, interdisciplinary research, prototype development, and technology-driven problem solving.
Over the years, Dr. Pandey has combined her academic and research experience with a strong focus on innovation-led education. She encourages students and researchers to move beyond theoretical concepts and transform ideas into practical solutions, working prototypes, intellectual property, and potential entrepreneurial ventures.
A major focus of Prof. Pandey's leadership is to strengthen the innovation culture within the University. She works toward creating an environment where students from different disciplines can collaborate, experiment, build, fail, improve, and eventually translate their ideas into meaningful outcomes.
